Cheese And Nut Burgers
Ingredients
225g/8oz minced/ground beef
225g/8oz minced/ground pork
Salt
Pepper
Pinch cayenne pepper
60g/2oz Red Leicester cheese
5ml/1 teaspoon caraway seeds
30g/1oz/ ¼ cup hazelnuts, chopped

Method
Mix the beef and pork with the salt, pepper and cayenne in a mixing bowl. Shape into 8 flattened rounds, about 10cm/4 inches in diameter.
Mix the cheese, caraway seeds and nuts together and place in the centre of 4 of the rounds. Top with the remaining rounds and press the edges together well to seal-in the filling.
Arrange in a circle on a dish lined with absorbent kitchen paper and cook on HIGH for 4 minutes. Turn over and cook for a further 2 minutes. Leave to stand for 1 minute before serving. Serve with a green salad or in hamburger buns. These burgers can be cooked in a pre-heated browning dish, if desired, for 4-5 minutes, turning once.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Microwave cooking time: 6 minutes plus 1 minute standing time
